Meet Mitch Smith, our seasoned strategist and tech startup leader. Kicking off in finance at Dean Witter Reynolds, he launched four SaaS firms over 30 years, scoring three winning exits. Mitch quarterbacked M&A as VP for a public company and led executive teams in capital raises and due diligence. A Citadel grad and SC Army vet, he now enjoys Lake Murray life with his wife, fueled by a passion for the outdoors.
Meet Doug Hooper, our financial and operational playbook master. Starting as a controller at AT&T, he tackled CFO and COO roles in pharma and manufacturing. In 2012, he co-founded an edtech firm, serving as CFO. Recently, he led due diligence for a defense contractor’s private equity win. A New Mexico State grad with an MBA, Doug now lives on Lake Keowee with his wife, hooked on fishing and the outdoors.
